The Morris Museum of Art is the first museum dedicated to the art and artists of the American South. It holds a collection of over 5,000 paintings, works on paper, photographs, and sculptures dating from the late-eighteenth century to the present. The museum also holds several traveling exhibits and events such as Artapalooza on February 1, an exhibit displaying works by local high school students, performances and hands-on art activities.
